About KolorPal
KolorPal (formerly ColorPal) is a free color toolkit for designers and developers. It started as a quick way to copy Material Design hex codes and has grown into a set of tools that cover the color side of building a product: an AI palette generator that turns a story or brand description into a palette, curated palettes from Material, Tailwind, Flat UI, Metro, Fluent and HTML, official brand colors, an icon library of more than 7,000 icons, an image color extractor, a gradient generator and a WCAG contrast checker.
Who builds it
KolorPal is built and maintained by Talha Rasool, an independent developer. There is no company behind it and no sales team; it is a side project kept running because people use it. The site is supported by a small amount of advertising.
Free, no sign-up
Every tool on KolorPal is free and works without an account. There is no paid tier, no locked export format and no usage tracking tied to you. The AI palette generator has a fair-use limit of 10 palettes per hour per visitor so that the service stays free for everyone.
How your data is handled
- Images you drop into the color extractor are processed entirely in your browser on a hidden canvas. They are never uploaded.
- Text you type into the AI palette generator is sent to the AI model only to produce the palette. KolorPal does not store it.
- Saved collections live in your browser's local storage, not on a server.
